Primary Peritoneal Cancer
When you have Stage 4 Cancer that started as Ovarian Cancer and spreads to spleen & liver and colon, how long?
there are tumors that are all over the peritoneal and omentum, and they said one on spleen, and two on liver. it is said to have started as ovarian but she had a complete hysterectomy 20 years ago. so they said that it is rare. but it sounds like the peritoneal is the primary. the bowel obstruction was removed but there is still more all around. Once it gets to liver, can chemo really work to get more years. Or is it true that normal is 6 months because of liver. I will ask the doctor, i am just nervous and I thought maybe there was someone with personal experience with this. thanks.
